We Begin Forever Now
I wanna see the earth start shaking, I wanna see a generation, finally waking up inside.
Until I die I'll sing these songs, on the shores of Babylon, still looking for a home, in a world where I belong, where the weak are finally strong, where the righteous right the wrongs, still looking for a home, in a world where I belong.
If the meaning of life cannot be answered by the scientists or the philosophers, then it's up to the rest of us to define what it means to be alive. We, the living, answer that question every day.
The truth is, we weren't looking for a vacation, we were looking for an adventure. We were looking for that beautiful chaos -- the extraordinary feeling of anything can happen.
As people so much of that has to do with the journey that we're on, not just as songwriters and musicians, but as fathers and members of the human race, trying to wrestle with meaning and what it takes to make a meaningful life. It's got to take more than just rock 'n' roll.
As we continue to seek the peace that passes all of our understanding, please have words with our Father about my band: that we would be a part of a revolution bigger than rock & roll.
